Beauty is the thing that let’s us know what we’re doing matters.
It may be elusive or hard to define, but it’s definitely recognizable when we see it.
When I make something beautiful, or encounter beauty in the world around me, it’s like surfacing from amnesia and being brilliantly present.
It’s a delighted recognition of the human story and my place in it.
When I surround myself with beauty in the places where I live and work, that beauty becomes a mirror which reminds me that I have something beautiful to offer.
